More than just crime stories...
I ventured into the world of short stories while suffering a period of writer's block, retreating to my conservatory for inspiration. Gazing up at the night sky, I realised I couldn't see it with the lights on, but found the reflections in the roof glazing worthy of a photograph. Got me thinking about time and space. The result of my musings? Three quite different tales:
The first is The Return of Becky Leigh, featuring a man who given the chance to test a prototype cell phone allows his girlfriend to use it with devastating personal consequences... A story of love, loss and final redemption.
Next is Night Nurse. Joshua Baines battles for survival after a near-fatal accident in a disused hospital wing. While drifting in and out of consciousness, help arrives in the form of a mysterious nurse and together they reconcile themselves with mysteries from the past.
The third is called A Fresh Start, which is about a troubled young man who encounters a dangerous stranger in a deserted pub and the effect this additional trauma has on his future, if he survives...
